What is temperature? The measure of how hot or cold something is.
What is heat? energy that moves from one object to another when the two objects have different temperatures
What is convection? is the circular motion of heat through liquids, such as water or gases, such as air Example: the way heat moves through a pan of water on a stove
What is radiation? the movement of heat energy through space. Example: heat from a campfire moves outward into the air
What is conduction? is the flow of heat through the movement of molecules in an object, or from one object to another object that it is touching Example: heat moves from the hot soup to the metal of the spoon
