The Rock Cycle

What is an igneous rock? a rock made by molten magma cooling on or beneath the earths surface.
What is granite? an igneous rock which is formed beneath the earths surface. the crystals are large. it contains the minerals mica, feldspar and quartz it is plutonic and intrusive mourne mountains.
What is basalt? an igneous rock formed when molten magma cools on the earths surface. the crystals are small. volcanic and extrusive giants causeway(hexagonal)
What is a sedimentary rock? a rock made from the compression of sediments on the sea bed
What is limestone? a sedimentary rock organic 350 million years ago
