| Speculate | To think about or to reflect on EX: I often speculate what will happen during the soccer game this Saturday. |
| Respect | Proper acceptance or courtesy; acknowledgment EX: The student has a great deal of respect for his teacher. |
| Aspect | Part; feature; phase: EX: That aspect of the problem is what interests me the most. |
| Suspect | To believe to be guilty, false, counterfeit, undesirable, defective, bad, etc., with little or no proof: EX: I suspect that a student cheated during a test. |
| Spectator | A person who looks on or watches; onlooker; observer. EX: I was a spectator during the tennis match with Serena Williams. |
| Specimen | A piece of something that represents the whole EX: The lab report came back showing the specimen was some kind of meat. |
| Inspect | To look carefully at or over; view closely and critically EX: I inspect my son's homework every night before he puts it back in his book bag. |
| Inspector | A person who inspects something EX: The food safety manager inspected the kitchen area before the restaurant opened for business. |
| Spectacles | Glasses EX: The librarian put on her spectacles before she put the books back on the shelf. |
| Expect | To look forward to; regard as likely to happen; anticipate the occurrence or the coming of EX: I expect my students to come to school! |
| Spectrum | A broad range of varied but related ideas or objects, the individual features of which tend to overlap so as to form a continuous series or sequence EX: There are a broad spectrum of books in the student library. |
| Circumspect | Watchful and discreet; cautious; prudent The girl was circumspect before deciding to ride on the roller coaster. |
