What is a Volacano? A volcano is a vent or chimney which transfers molten rock known as magma from depth to the Earth's surface.
How is magma formed? It is formed from the melting of rocks in the earth's lithosphere,
What is the oldest volcano? Mt Etna of Italy is thought to be the world's oldest active volcano.
What is the most active volacno? Sangay is one of the most active volacanos.
What is lava? Lava is made up of crystals, volcanic glass, and bubbles (volcanic gases)
What is a Crator? A volcanic crater is a roughly circular depression in the ground caused by volcanic activity.
How is volcanic ash formed? Volcanic ash is formed during explosive volcanic eruptions when dissolved gases in magma expand and escape violently into the atmosphere.
What good causes can a volcano cause? The main good effect that volcanoes have on the environment is to provide nutrients to the surrounding soil.
