Non-contact Forces V

TermDefinition
non-contact forces A force acting between objects that are not touching.
gravitational field The area surrounding an object with mass where another object experiences gravitational attraction.
electrical field The area around a charged particle or object where an electric force can be exerted on another charged particle or object.
magnet A material that attracts iron or objects made of iron.
magnetic field The area surrounding the magnet where magnetic forces are detected.
gravity A force of attraction between objects because of their mass.
electric force A push or pull caused by the interaction of charged particles.
electromagnetism Interaction between electric currents and magnetic fields.
magnetic force A push or pull exerted by a magnet.
