5 main issues

TermDefinition
Person v. Situation To what extent is behavior caused by processes that occur outside or inside the individual?
Diversity v. Universiality Do we need different psychologies to account for the wide range of human behaviors?
Nature v. Nurture The degree of influence that heredity or environment have on behavior.
Mind v. Body The relationship between what we experience (mind) and biological processes (body).
Stability v. Change How much we change or remain relatively unchanged throughout our lives.
