Mixtures and Solutions

mixture a combination of two or more substances where each one keep their own physical property and can be easily separated
solution a mixture of one substance dissolved evenly into another and is hard to separate
dissolve to be absorbed into a liquid and mixed evenly; (one ingredient “disappears” into a liquid or gas)
ingredient a single part of a mixture or solution
sieve/screen a tool used to separate matter that is small in size from matter that is larger in size.
filter a tool with very tiny openings used to separate very small bits of matter (like water) from larger matter (like sand)
