What are sublingual tablets? Tablets to be placed under the tougue
What are Buccal tablets? Tablets to be placed between the cheeck and gum
Absorbtion Rates for: Tablets, Liquid gels, Liquid, Injections, IVs Tablet: 30-40%(Lowest absorbtion rate), Liquid gels: 40-60%, Liquid: 50-70%, Injections(IM, SC,ID): 60-80%, IV: 80-100%
Topical Drugs Is one to be applied to the skin or muccous membranes. Local
Eye Drops Fastest absorbtion rate, must be sterile, can use eye drops in ear but then can't be used again in the eye until it is sterilized
Ear Drops Don't have to be sterile, Can only be used in ears because they are not sterile
Transdermal drugs Patches, systemic- treats entire body
Enteric coated drugs: Can never be crushed because they are usually extended release
Scored tablets are ok to be split
If a tablet must be crushed one can administer the drug in what? Applesause because it does not break down the chemcial composition of the drug

Converting Celsius to Fahrenheit C=F-32/1.8
