(Energy) Waves - Transverse/Longitudinal - Properties of Waves - Types

TermDefinition
Vibration The movement of a particle from its resting position.
Wavelength The distance between two crests/troughs or compressions/rarefactions.
Mechanical Wave A wave that requires a medium to travel.
Electromagnetic Wave A wave that does not require a medium to travel. This wave can travel through a vacuum.
Sound Wave A longitudinal wave
