types of pronouns

| personal pronouns | typical pronouns; replace the subject or object I, you, he, she, it, we, they (subjective) me, you, him, her, it, us, them (objective) |
| subjective pronouns | A type of personal pronoun that act as the subject of the sentence and take the place of a noun I, you, he, she, it, we, they |
| objective pronouns | A type of personal pronoun that act that receives the action of the verb and takes the place of a noun me, you, him, her, it, us, them |
| possessive pronouns | pronouns that show ownership examples: my, your, his, hers, its, our, their, yours, ours, theirs |
| indefinite pronouns | a pronoun that does not refer to any specific person, amount, or thing in particular examples: anything, something, anyone, everyone, everybody, somebody, everything, nobody, no one, several, some, someone |
| demonstrative pronouns | point out a specific person, place, thing, or idea examples: this, that, these, those |
| reflexive pronouns | refer to the subject and directs the action of the verb back to the subject examples: myself, ourselves, yourself, yourselves, himself, herself, itself, themselves |
| interrogative pronouns | pronouns that are used to ask questions and stand for something not yet known examples: who, whom, whose, which, what |
| intensive pronouns | used to add emphasis to the subject himself, myself, herself, ourselves, themselves, itself, yourselves, yourself |
