Electromagnetic Wave a wave that can travel through empty space or matter
Radiant Energy energy that is carried by electromagnetic waves
Radio Waves The lowest frequency of all electromagnetic waves
Infra-red Waves wavelengths between about one thousandths and 0.7 millionths of a meter
Visible Light Electromagnetic waves you can detect with your eyes
Ultraviolet Radiation Higher in frequency than visible light and has shorter Wavelengths between 0.4 millionths of a meter and about Ten Billionths of a meter
X-RAY Ultraviolet waves that penetrate your skin
Gama Rays have the hightest frequency and therefore carry the most energy
Carrier Waves Radio Waves broadcast by a station at its assigned frequency
