What is selective breeding? -Is a process used by humans to develop new organisms with desirable characteristics. breeders select two parents that have beneficial phenotype traits to reproduce, yielding offspring with those desired traits.
What is the purpose human genome project? -Contains 30-35000 genes, identify the DNA sequence of every gene in the human genome, it will provide scientist genetic mutation about humans.
What is inbreeding? -Breed from closely related people or animals especially over many generations.
What is DNA and what is it made of? - DNA is made up of molecules called nucleotides -adenine (A), thymine (T), guanine (G) and cytosine (C).
What is a genome? A genome is all the DNA in one organism.
What are the male and female sex chromosomes? XY and XX.
What is a gene? A unit of heredity that is transferred from a parent to offspring and is held to determine some characteristic of the offspring.
