Multiple Sclerosis idipatic disease where there is a buildup of scar tissue on the mylin; appears that the immune system is attacking the mylin; usually develops in ages 20-40; most often in women muscle weakness, abnormal sensations throughout the body, loss of vision and hearing, speech problems, faigue, and lack of coordination treat with immune stimulants, anti-inflamatories and interferons
Parkinson's disease disease affecting dopaminergic cells in teh brains basal ganglia; cells are being destroyed; because of damage to filters muscles are being over stimulated; usually affects men of 50 plus age tremors throughout the body, mask face, stooped posture, short shuffle steps, bent arms and knees, rigidity treat with dopamine, acetylcholine, and anticholinergic drugs

Chronic Bronchitis coughing up mucous for 3 months out of the year for 2 straight years; caused from smoking and working in dusty type manufacturing coughing up mucous treat with steriods, expectorant, and avoid the cause
Rhinitis runny nose caused from viral infections, bacteria, or allergies runny nose treat with decongestants, antihistamines, and nasal inhalers
Chest congestion mucous in the chest caused from irritants, infections, or dry air chest mucous treat with expectorants
Cough irritatin in the trachea or lower treat with dexpromethorphan-cough suppressant(non-script) or codeine (script)
constipation to much liquid being absorbed; material moving to slowly through the GI tract elderly most likely to be affected treat by eating more fiber to keep it moving
diarrhea material moving through GI tract to fast not enough absorbtion of fluid treat with anti-diarrheals
inflammatory bowel disorder can affect any part of the GI tract; Crohn's affects the small intestines; and ulcerative colitis affects the large instestines crohns and colitis are the two main IBD's and are lifetime diseases ***
GERD gastroesophageal reflux disorder; stomach contents moving back into the esophagus affects loer esophagus causing pain and scarring; scarring can lead to hiatal hernia ***
peptic ulcers caused by stomach secretions 95% of stomach ulcers caused by H. pylori (infection); which leads to a breakdown of mucous then acid and pepsin eats a hole in the lining of the stomach5% of stomach ulcers are caused from mdications treatment involves: treating the infection with antibiotics, reducing acidity with antacids, H2 blockers, and proton pump inhibitors; avoiding food that are spicy or acidic
ADHD condition of pesistant inattention; leads to hyperactivity, impulsivity, and difficulty maintaining attention; affects both adults and children lack of attention to details; impulsive behaviors, inappropriate behavior treat with amphetamines; behavior therapy; and rewardig appropriate behavior
Epilepsy brain disorder where clusters of nerve cells or neurons in the brain signal abnormally; a group of conditions that cause uncontrolled activity in the cerebrum at random times fainting, loss of coordination, loss of muscle control, body twitching or jerking, stare into space, strange smells or sounds, falling treated with anticonvulsants during attack, anti-epileptics for preventive, surgery, vagus nerves stimulators and diet
