Propaganda Techniques

TermDefinition
Bandwagon Persuading people to buy something by saying everyone is buying it.
Testimonial A celebrity endorses a product by saying they use it too.
Plain Folks Using everyday, ordinary people to market a product.
Repetition The product name or keyword is repeated several times.
Transfer Good feelings, looks, or ideas are transferred to the person who using the product.
Name Calling Negative words are used against a similar product.
Faulty Cause and Effect Claiming the use of a product does something it really doesn't do.
Compare and Contrast The viewer is led to believe one product is better than the other.
