Carbohydrates Made up of carbon, hydrogen and oxygen and is the primary energy source used by the body; lowers risk for chronic disease; vegetable, fruits (starch)
Metabolism Rate at which a body burns calories.
Protein Repairs and maintains the body; fish, meet, poultry, eggs, milk, cheese, beans; healthy blood cells; strengthens immune system.
Nutrition Process of consuming the foods you need for health and growth because your body breaks down and rebuild cells 24/7.
Benefits of Good Nutrition Keeps body strong and healthy; prevents diseases (#1); obesity, diabetes, cancer; boosts immune system; delay effects of aging.
