| ordnance | weapons, explosives, and vehicles used in fighting |
| weary | very tired or bored, especially because you have been doing something for a long time |
| sabotage | to secretly damage or destroy equipment, vehicles etc that belong to an enemy or opponent, so that they cannot be used |
| curfew | a law that forces people to stay indoors after a particular time at night, or the time people must be indoors |
| contemplating | to think about something that you might do in the future |
| careened | to move forwards quickly without control, making sudden sideways movements |
| hysteric | wildly emotional, unable to control one's behaviour or emotions |
| ricocheting | the motion of an object or a projectile in rebounding or deflecting one or more times from the surface over which it is passing or against which it hits a glancing blow. |
