Cell membrane Outer layer of plant + animal cells that controls what comes in and out of our cells.
Cell wall A rigid layer that surrounds plant cells to protect+support the cell
Nucleus Large oval structure that acts as the cell control center
Organelle Tiny cell structures that carry out specific functions
Chromatin Thin strands that fill nucleus+contains information to direct a cell's function
Ribosome Small grain shape organelles that produce proteins
Nuclear envelope Thin membrane around the nucleus that controls what is passed in+out of the nucleus
