variable something that can change in a test
hypothesis statement of what you think will happen in an investigation
control group It's the special treatment
observation something that you find out ab out object,events or living things using your senses
procedures step by step instructions for completing a task
experiment the use of scientific methods to test a hypothesis
inference a conclusion based on observations
data info from which a conclusion can be drawn or a prediction can be made
evidence observations that make you believe something is true
persition the ability to constantly repeat a measurement
accuracy ability to make a measurement that is as close to actual value as possible
modle object or ideas to represent other things
survey questions that are answered by people. Great for opinion questions
sampling examining random individuals from a populatoin
Independent variable The variable that you can change
Dependant variable It is what is measured it changes when the independent variable changes
