TermDefinition
Ecosystem Everything that surrounds an organism both living (biotic) and nonliving (abiotic).
Organism Anything that is living.
Biotic Factors Living organisms in an ecosystem.
Abiotic Factors Non living factors in an ecosystem.
Temperate Climate A climate with changing temperatures, but not extreme hot or cold temperatures.
Environmental Factor One part of an ecosystem living or nonliving.
Isopod Organism with 7 pairs of legs, an exoskeleton, and an antennae.
Preferred Environment Set of environmental conditions that an organism appears to choose.
Optimum Environment The best ecosystem for an organism to thrive.
