Scalar vs. Vectors

TermDefinition
Vectors quantities that are described by both a magnitude and a direction.
Scalars quantities described by a magnitude alone
Magnitude the strength or size of an object
Distance how much ground an object has covere
Displacement how far an object moves from where it started / is or it’s change in position
Speed how fast an object is moving
Velocity how fast and object moves in a specific direction Example 25m/s North
Acceleration the rate at which an object changes its velocity.
