term definition
Crest The high point on a wave which is the top of a wave.
Amplitude A distance moved by a point on vibrating body or wave measured from its equilibrium position.
Frequency A number of wave that move past a given point in a given unit of time.
Wavelength The length of the distance of a wave.
Trough A low point on a wave which is a bottom curve of a wave.
Transverse A wave vibrating at right angles to the direction of its propagation.
