what is refraction the bending of light ray as they enter a new mediun
ROYGBIV red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet.
ampltude The amplitude, a, of a wave is the distance from the centre line (or the still position) to the top of a crest
wave lenth the distance between successive crests of a wave, especially points in a sound wave or electromagnetic wave. 2.
crest A crest is the highest point on a wave
trough trough is the lowest point of the wave
frequnency The frequency, of a wave is the number of waves passing a point in a certain time.
photons a particle representing a quantum of light or other electromagnetic radiation. A photon carries energy proportional to the radiation frequency but has zero rest mass
transverse wave a wave vibrating at right angles to the direction of its propagation.
color spectrum The human eye is not capable of "seeing" radiation with wavelengths outside the visible spectrum
