frequnency The frequency, of a wave is the number of waves passing a point in a certain time.
photons a particle representing a quantum of light or other electromagnetic radiation. A photon carries energy proportional to the radiation frequency but has zero rest mass
transverse wave a wave vibrating at right angles to the direction of its propagation.
color spectrum The human eye is not capable of "seeing" radiation with wavelengths outside the visible spectrum
