Agonist a drug that bindes to a receptor and produces an appropriate physicologic response that is simular to what an endiginous substance would do
Anaphalactic shock a sudden and severe allergic reation that may be life threatning
Bioavalibilty the degree and rate at which a drug is absorbed in to a living system or is made avalible at the site of that physiologic activity
Biotransformation the process of conversion of drugs with in the body
Dose effect relationship the relatioship between that dose of the drug (or other agent) that produces harmful effects and the severity of the effects on the patient.
Drug indications the exact reason for tha use of a drug
Half life the time it takes for the blood or plasma concentration of the drug to decrease fron full to half
Overdose A toxic dose of a drug or other substance
Side effects Results of a drug, or other therapy in addition to or in extension of the desired therepetic effects which are usually buit not alway undiriviable
tolerence the bodys slow adaptation to a drug, higher and higher doses are required to achieve the same effect reduced responsiveness to a drug
toxicity the state of being noxious, refers to drug ability to poison the body
Adverse Drug Reactions any unexpected obvious change in a patients condition that the physician supects may be due to a dug
