conversion factor a ratio of equivalent measurements that is used to convert a quanity from one unit to another
density the ratio of a material's mass to its volume
density of water 1g/cm3
direct proportion relation of which the ratio of 2 variables is constant
geology the study of the origin, history, and structure of earth
hypothesis a proposed answer to a question
inverse proporation a relationship in which the product of 2 variables is a constant
length the straight line distance between 2 points (use meter stick)
line graph shows relationship of 2 variables, variable Y plotted VS variable X. shows how one variable responds to changes in the other variable
manipulated variable causes the change in another variable (indendpent variable)
