| Dict | Speak |
| Dicatator | A leader who speaks and rules with total power |
| Contradict | To speak against or say the opposite |
| Dictionary | A reference book with spoken or written words that are defined |
| Indictment | Formal words that are spoken or written by jury that charge someone with a crime |
| Predict | To say what will happen before it occurs |
| Verdict | The decision a jury makes in a trial or is said by a judge |
| Dictation | The manner in which something is said in words |
| Spec | See, look |
| Inspect | To look carefully at something and search for flaws |
| Speculate | To look and think about something |
| Spectacle | Something displayed for all to see |
| Spectator | A person who watches something such as a sporting event |
| Spectacles | Another name for eyeglasses that are used to see |
| Respect | To look up to someone or show honor |
| Perspective | One's outlook or the way they view things |
| Retrospective | The act of looking back at past events |
