Cooking Terms
| Term | Definition |

| Mince | to cut or chop into very fine pieces |
| Chop | to cut into small irregular pieces |
| Grease | to rub a surface with fat |
| Boil | to cook in liquid at boil temp,liquid will bubble rapidly |
| Simmer | to cook in liquid just below the boiling point,liquid will barely bubble |
| Knead | to press and fold dough with hands until smooth |
| Combine | to mix two or more ingredients |
| Blend | to stir until ingredients are completely mixed |
| Beat | quick over and over motion to a smooth mixture |
| Dice | to cut into 1/4 inch cubes |
| Cream | to blend until smooth and creamy |
| Preheat | to bring a heating unit to a certain temperature before using it |
| Stir | to mix gently with a spoon in a circular motion |
| Garnish | to decorate a dish with a small food item |
| Roll | to flatten dough to an even thickness with a rolling pin |
