| Mechanical Energy | The energy in an object due to it's position or motion |
| Electrical Energy | The form of energy that consists of a flow of electric charges through a conductor |

| Thermal Energy | The energy of moving particles that produces heat (heat energy) |
| Sound Energy | A type of energy that can be heard, caused by vibrations |
| Circuit | The path of an electric current |
| Electricity | Energy created by charged particles |
| Path | The course or route something like electricity travels |
| Current | The flow of electricity through a conductor |
| Flow | The movement of energy |
| Refraction | The bending of light rays as they pass from one substance to another |
| Reflection | Light energy that bounces off a surface |
| Prism | A transparent, 3 dimensional shape used to separate white light into the color spectrum |
| Convex | A type of lens that is thicker in the middle |
| Concave | A type of lens that is thinner in the middle |
| Lenses | Transparent pieces of glass or plastic used for refracting light |
| Absorb | To soak in (light) or take in (light) |
| Transparent | All light passes through |
| Translucent | Some light passes through |
| Opaque | No light passes through. Not transparent |
| Medium | A substance through which energy or waves travel |
| Pitch | The highness or lowness of a sound |
| Frequency | The number of vibrations that occur in a given unit of time |
| Volume | The unit of measure for the volume of sound |
