What is TPACK? A framework that identifies a teachers knowledge of their content area and teaching strategies while effectively incorporating technology.
What are the 3 main components of TPACK? Technological Knowledge (TK), Pedagogical Knowledge (PK), and Content Knowledge (CK)
What does TPACK extend? Shulman’s idea of Pedagogical Content Knowledge
Who is the sole author of TPACK? There isn't one.
How many components of TPACK are there & what are they? Seven. TK, PK, CK, TPK, TCK, PCK, TPACK
What is TPK? Understanding how technology changes teaching and learning
What is TCK? Understanding know technology and a content area can aid and hinder one another
What is PCK? Understanding how to apply different teaching/learning methods in a content area
What did Shulman emphasize in 1986? A teachers content and pedagogical knowledge were NOT mutually exclusive, but should be combined.
Will all combinations of content, technology, and pedagogy apply for every? No.
