hemisphere | half of the earth |
longitude | lines running north and south on map that are used to measure the distance East or West of the Prime Meridian |
latitude | lines running east and west on a map that are used to measure the distance North or South of the Equator |
Prime Meridian | The line of ZERO longitude that divides the earth into an Eastern and Western Hemisphere |
Equator | The line of ZERO latitude that divides the earth into a Northern and Southern Hemisphere |
