| INTERNAL RHYME | a rhyme within the same line or verse |
| POETRY | a type of writing that uses figurative language to express ideas, emotions, and images |
| POETIC STRUCTURE | this is the way the poem is put together |
| SOUND EFFECT | any sound, other than music or speech, artificially reproduced to create an effect in a dramatic presentation, as the sound of a storm or a creaking door. |
| FIGURATIVE LANGUAGE | a way of creating images with words |
