hemiplegia UE and LE spasticity are present only in the L UE/LE or R UE/LE
diplegia LE’s are the most involved but the definition actually includes a mild involvement of the UE’s also. One side may be more affected than the other.
triplegia 3 extremities affected with essentially one UE left with normal muscle tone.
quadriplegia total body is impaired. May initially present with hypotonia. Asymmetrical involvement causes contractures and deformities such as scoliosis and dislocations of the hip.
