Newtons 1st law, inertia, and motion.

QuestionAnswer
Distance How far you have traveled between two positions. Always positive and is a Scaler Quantity.
Displacement Change in position. It is the straight line distance between your starting and ending positions. It can be positive or negative. It is vector Quantitity
Scaler Quantity that only requires magnitude (how big)
Vector Quantity that requires both magnitude and directions
Speed how fast something is going. Equal to distance divided by time. It is scaler.
Velocity Rate in which a position changes. It is equal to displacement divided by time. It is vector.
