Formative Assessment 5

TermDefinition
Accommodation The student is able to complete an assignment with an adjustment in time, schedule, formatting, or how they can respond. Ex. Student having a test read to them.
Modification Changes the standard of what will be measured for an assignment or test. Ex. Completing an alternate assignment that is more accessible for the student.
Inclusion Children will disabilities and children typically developing are educated in the same environment. Practicing LRE as much as possible is best.
Instructional Technology Used to enhance the effectiveness of teaching, most likely for the entire class. Ex. smart board, clickers, computers, etc.
Assistive technology Used to enhance abilities for an individual throughout all aspects of living. Visual schedule, adaptive pencil grips, switch buttons, etc.
Lead and Support Teaching One teacher leads the class, while the second teacher provides support as needs with students.
Station Teaching Multiple stations set up that provides different areas of instruction provided by the teachers sportily. Students rotate through the stations.
Parallel Teaching Teachers deliver the same content at the same time. The class is divided into two groups, which allows for smaller group instruction.
Alternative Teaching One large group and one small group. The same content is being taught, but the small group is used to hone in on prerequisite that need to be worked on a little more.
Team Teaching Delivering instruction together at the same time. Demonstrates as a joint presentation.
