vocabulary for integrating technology in the classroom

QuestionAnswer
Technology the collection of devices or techniques used to accomplish tasks in a society; it becomes more advanced over time.
Pedagogy the science or art of teaching; a synonym for education itself
TPACK Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge, the program that integrates technology and education for effective learning
Content The subject covered in a given document, book, or video
Knowledge being familiar with facts or techniques on a given subject through research and study
Content Knowledge Being familiar with the content of a given book or subject in general
Pedagogical Knowledge Understanding how students learn, general classroom skills
Technology Knowledge Familiarity with technology; how technology works, and how it can be used
Technological Pedagogical Knowledge Being skilled and familiar with how technology can be used to enhance a student's classroom learning
Technological Content Knowledge An understanding of the manner in which technology and content influence and constrain one another
