TermDefinition
Taper turning. machining an angle along a round bar one end is thicker than the other end.
Tap and tap handle. Used for cutting screws threads on the inside of a hole.
Stock and die. Used for cutting a thread on the outside of a bar.
Dip coating. Using heat to melt a layer of plastic power onto steel.
Counter sinking. Putting an angle at the top of a hole so a screw will sit flush with the work piece.
Counter boring. Putting a wider 90° hole at the top so a pan head screw or nut can sit flush with the work piece.
Thermoplastic. A plastic that can change its shape when heated.
Thermosetting. A plastic that cannot be re-shaped using heat.
Tanget. A line that touches the outside of circle ate one point.
Soldering iron. Used to melt solder when joining electronic components.
Aluminium. Pure Metal.
Copper. Pure Metal.
Tin. Pure Metal.
Lead. Pure Metal.
Zinc. Pure Metal.
Iron. Pure Metal.
