| Crystal | The solid form of a material that can be identified by its natural shape or pattern. |
| Dissolving | The process of a material becoming too small to see and mixed throughout the substance |
| Evaporation | The process of a liquid turning to a gas |
| Mixture | Two or more substances combined together |
| Property | A characteristic of an object that can be observed, such as size, color, shape, or texture. |
| Solution | A special mixture formed when one or more materials dissolves in another. |
| Solute | A substance that dissolves in a solvent to form a solution. Example: The SALT in salt water. |
| Solvent | A substance in which a solute dissolves to form a solution. Example: The WATER in salt water. |
