Expectorant means; drug that aids in coughing up muccus or other fluids from the lungs. Used during the day.
Astringents mean; substance that cause tissues to contract. Cause protein in skin to coagulate protecting underlying tissues.
Vasoconstrictor means; cuases the constriction or narrowing of blood vessels, reduces inflammation and swelling
Bulk Forming means; fiber used either a a stimulant or to the intestines or to create a feeling of fullness to decrease appetite for food.
Anorexant means; Substance that decreases appetite for food
Desquamating means; normal process of shedding top layer of skin cells. Also known as exfoliating
Keratolytic means; drug which causes shedding of outter layer of skin
