Nyms

The answer to all of these statements will end with the letters "nyms"

TermDefinition
Homonym Two words that sound the same but have different meanings.
Acronym The first letter of every word in a phrase that shortens what you want to say - EX. NBA, FBI, USA
Synonym Two words that mean the same thing.
Antonym Two words that mean the opposite.
Root word The basic word that may have a prefix or suffix added to it.
Prefix Added to the beginning of a word to change meaning.
Suffix Added to the end of a word to change meaning.
