Heat Conduction

Radiation A form of heat transfer where heat is transferred through empty space
Thermal Conduction The movement of heat from one solid to another one, or movement of heat from a warmer object to a cooler object through direct contact.
Convection Heat transfer from the molecules in fluids, and carrying energy up, where it cools and sinks, heats up, and rises again.
Convection Currents Currents in fluid caused by convection where heat rises, cools, sinks, and repeats.
Greenhouse Effect The process in which solar radiation is bounced from Earth's surface to the atmosphere back to Earth's surface again.
Global Warming A term used to describe the slight increase in average temperatures on Earth.
