What are the five areas of reading? | Phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, comprehension, and vocabulary. |
What are low technology tools? | Prompts, highlighters, post-it notes, transparences that provide different background colors, reading strips, highlighting tape, page separators to aid in turning pages, and rubber finger to grip. |
What are more low technology tools? | Individual pages, easel to hold reading material in upright position, automatic page-turners, and sensory cues created on pages such as using glue to outline a shape shown in a book. |
What are medium technology tools? | Alternative print (braille, large print), magnification, highlighting key text, replacing text with modified wording, change text size, and spacing between lines or words and margins. |
