What is needed to improve your reading skills? To improve your reading comprehension, one can start by reading in chunks. This helps you read faster. Developing an eloquent vocabulary helps as well, by studying new words and definitions. It also helps to reread passages and think critically.
What are things you should avoid while improving your reading? Reading one word at a time can be time consuming and also prompt the learner to read mindlessly. The learner should also avoid skim reading, as well as reading one word at a time.
