| 2. Carbonic anhydrase inhibitors- | Used for glacoma & epelepsy to lessen the effects of high altitude. Ex: Acetazolamide (Diamox), and Methazolamide (Neptazome) |
| 3. Thiazide & Thiazide like | Treatment for hypertension. EX: Chlorthiazide, Hydrochlorthiazide(HCTZ) |
| 4. Loop Diuretics | Ex: Furosemide (Lasix), Bumetanide(Bumex). High ceiling diuretics. In high doses loop diuretics increase urine out put so much that it can be dangerous. This can lead to decrease blood volume and cause death. They are used for acute pulmanry ademia or eme |
