Male organ- Testesfunction
1. interstitial cells produce and secrete testosterone
2. seminiferous tubules produce sperm cells
3. Epididymis stores sperm cells
4. Vas deferns conveys sperm cells to efaculatory duct
5. prostate gland secretes an alkaline fluid and enhances sperm cell motility
6. seminal vesicles secretes an alkaline fluid contaning nutrients and prostaglandins
7. bulbourethral glands secretes fluid that lubricates the tip of the penis
8. scrotum encloses, protects, and regulates the temperature of the testes
9. penis conveys semen into the vagina during sexual intercourse
* Female organ Function
1. ovaries produce oocytes and female sex hormones
2. uterine tubules (fallopian tubes) convey oocytes toward the uterus and site of fertilization
3. uterus protects and sustains embryo during pregnacy
4. vagina conveys uterine secretions to outside of body, receives erect penis during sexual intercourse.
