| battery | a device that makes electricity by using chemical reactions, stores energy until it is needed |
| circuit | path followed by an electric current |
| closed circuit | A complete electrical circuit or path through which electricity or current can pass or flow |
| conductor | material that allows electric current or thermal energy to pass through easily |
| copper wire | thin, flexible thread made of copper |
| current | flow of electricity in a wire or other conductor |
| electromagnetism | magnetism produced by an electric current |
| flow | to more along in a smooth, steady, continuous path or stream |
| insulator | Material that slows down or stops electric current or thermal energy from passing through |
| open circuit | a circuit or electrical path that is broken or incomplete so electricity cannot flow through it |
