Humidity The moisture content in the air.
Ozone layer Molecule consisting of three oxygen atoms responsible for absorbing a large portion of the sun's ultraviolet rays.
Greenhouse Effect The greenhouse effect refers to the change in the steady state temperature of a planet or moon by the presence of an atmosphere containing gas that absorbs and emits infrared radiation.
Global Warming The theory that increasing global temperatures are caused by human pollutants in the atmosphere.
Temperature Gradient Changes in temperature due to changes in altitude.
Jet Streams Jet streams are fast flowing, narrow air currents found at the tropopause
Heat Energy that is transferred as a consequence of temperature differences.
Temperature A measure of the energy of random motion in a substance's molecules.
Atmospheric pressure Atmospheric pressure (or air pressure) is the force exerted on you by the weight of tiny particles of air (air molecules). Although air molecules are invisible, they still have weight and take up space.
