Dynamic Character | A character that changes throughout the course of the narrative |
Exposition | A literary device used to introduce background information about events, settings, characteristics, ect. |
Falling Action | A part of a literary plot that occurs after the climax has been reached and the conflict has been resolved |
Fiction | literature in the form of prose, especially short stories and novels, that describe imaginary events. |
Flashback | Moments identified by the author that relate to previous events |
Flat Character | Characteristics that are two demensional and are realatively uncomplicated |
Foreshadowing | Clues by the author that allude to later events |
Inciting Incident | The event that sets the central conflict in motion |
Mood | Feelings evoked in the reader as a reaction to the narratives atmoshpere |

Protoganist | The leading character or one of the major characters in drama, movie, novel, or other fictional text |
Resolution | The point in a literary text at which the cheif dramatic complication is worked out |
Rising Action | a realated series of inccidents in a literary plot that builds toward the point of greatest interest |
Round Character | A realistic character that displays multiple character traits that is complex |
Stactic Character | A realistic chracter that does not change throughout the course of the narrative |
Theme | A main idea or an underlying meaning of a literary work that may be stated directly |
Tone | Authors attitude toward the subject/topic evoked through diction |
