Cause and Effect How something that happens effects something else.
Problem/Solution How an author identifies an issue and gives possible solutions
Fact/Opinion How an author might use what they believe combined with provable data.
Compare/Contrast How one thing is similar or different from something else
Sequence of Events How an author arranges facts in order of time.
Medium A method of communicating (pictures, videos, writing)
Explicit The idea stated in the text.
Implicit The idea understood but not stated in the text.
Inference What you know with what you read to draw a conclusion.
Objective summary A brief restatement of main points without using your opinion.
