Psychoanalytic Theory

| Projection | Unacceptable feelings are repressed & Projected onto somebody else. |
| Displacement | Person who directs emotions toward people/objects that aren’t real source of feelings. |
| Reaction Formation | Feeling that causes anxiety is transformed into opposite feeling. |
| Regression | reverting to a previous phase of development. |
