TermDefinition
Motion Distance from another object is changing.
Reference Point Place or object used for comparison.
Distance Length of path between two points.
Displacement Length and direction an object has moved.
Vector A quantity that consists of both magnitude and a direction.
Speed Distance an object travels in a unit of time
Average Speed The average speed of an object was moving
Instantaneous Speed The rate at which an object in moving at a given instant of time
Velocity Speed in a given direction
Slope The steepness of a line on a graph
Force Cause of an object with mass to change its velocity
Gravity The force that brings down things with mass towards the center of the earth
Acceleration When something goes from 0 (mph) to a certain amount of speed
balanced forces two equally magnitudes on opposite directions
unbalanced forces two unequally magnitudes on opposite directions
time the measurement of hiw long it takes for an bject to do something
friction when 2 objects scrap against each other
chassis the structure that supports the bottom of the car so everything doesn't fall off
