Chemical Bonding the combining of atoms to form molecules or ironic compounds
Chemical Bond an interaction that holds the atoms together
Valence Electron an electron that is found in the outermost shell of an atom and that determines the atoms chemical reaction
Crystal Lattice the regular pattern in which a crystal is arranged
Ion a charged particle that forms when an atom or group of atoms gains or looses one or more electrons
Ionic Bond the attractive force between oppositely charged ions,which forms when electrons are transformed from one atom to another
Covalent Bond A bond formed when atoms share one or more pairs of electrons
Molecule a group of atoms that are held together by chemical forces
Chemical Reaction the process by which one or more substances change to produce one or more different substances
Chemical Equation a representation of a chemical reaction that uses symbols to show the relationship between the reactants and the products
